みなさん、こんにちは。いつもPEOPLISMを見てくださり、ありがとうございます。日本での新シーズンの象徴、4月も終わりました。環境が変わった人。環境は変わらないけど、フレッシュな気持ちになった人。なんとなく立ち止まっている人。様々だと思います。そんな皆さんの生活に彩りを与えられますように。
今回は、あるラッパーのインタビュー内での言葉について紹介させてください。気が付けば未来のことばかりを考えてしまっている自分を、良い意味で戒めてくれた言葉です。
ラッパーであり、クリエイターであり、父親でもある、KANDYTOWNメンバーの1人、IOさん。そんな彼がGQ JAPANのインタビューで語った言葉。「10年後、20年後って自分で設定して、そうなったとしても別にそうなっただけ。だから自分的には面白くない。目の前の1日1日を積み重ねて、10年後こうだったって方が面白い。」（字幕より抜粋）
メディアのせいか、SNSのせいか、本のせいか。何かに急かされて、気が付けば先のことばかりを考えてしまう。そんな時期は、誰しもに訪れるものだと思いますし、決して、未来を見据えることが悪いことだとは言いません。急激に変化する現代社会の中で生きるには、むしろ大切なことだと、私は思います。
そんな折に触れたのが、IOさんの言葉、そしてISM。「お前は今に集中できているのか？」と問われたような、不思議な感覚に陥りました。未来への漠然とした不安。なんとなく世間から良しとされている生活。そんなものに圧迫されて、未来のことばかり考えて、呆けていた自分の背中を、思い切り叩いてくれたISMでした。
私自身、未来を見据える姿勢は変えません。けれども、未来に続く線のためには、常に今に点を打ち続けなければ、と反省しました。１つの戒めとして、１つのISMとして、大切にしていきたいと思います。もし皆さんも、未来ばかりを意識しているなと気がついた時は、この記事に戻ってきてください。

In this issue, I would like to share with you some words within an interview with a rapper. These words were a good reminder to me that I find myself thinking only about the future.
IO is a rapper, creator, father, and one of the members of KANDYTOWN. In an interview with GQ JAPAN, he said. “I set myself 10 or 20 years from now, and even if that happens, it’s just the way it is. That’s why it’s not interesting for me. It is more interesting to accumulate each day in front of me and say, “This is how it will be in 10 years.”. (Excerpt from the subtitle)
Is it the media, SNS, or books? Something is rushing us and we find ourselves thinking only about the future. I believe that such a period comes to everyone, and by no means am I saying that looking to the future is a bad thing. In fact, I think it is an important part of living in today’s rapidly changing society.
It was at such times that I was touched by the words and ISM of him. I had a strange feeling as if I was asked, “Are you concentrating on the present?”. Vague anxiety about the future. A life that is somehow considered good by the world. I had been thinking only about the future, and was so overwhelmed by such things that I had been dazed.
I myself will not change my attitude of looking to the future. However, I have been reminded that I must always keep dotting the present for the sake of a line that continues into the future. If you too find yourself thinking only of the future, please come back to this article.
