みなさん、こんにちは。今回のPEOPLISMは宮越悠哉さんです。
彼のismは「腰紐不要主義」です。「ジャージとかの腰紐ってあるじゃないですか。あれは全部抜きますね。たとえ服として機能しなくなっても抜きます。」とのこと。なぜこのismに辿り着いたのか、詳しく聞いていきましょう。
Q. このismに至った背景があれば、教えてください。
– 気が付いた頃には自然にやっていたので、はっきりとは記憶にないんですが、始まりは小学生の頃だったと思います。腰紐ってちょっと気になるスポットですよね。それで、みなさんも経験があると思うんですけど、一度片方の紐の端っこが内側に入ってしまうと、もう取れないじゃないですか。だからピュって抜くしかない。その抜いた瞬間が快感だったんですよね。そこから、もう抜くこと自体が楽しくなってしまって。
Q. なるほど、、、表現が気になるところではありますが、何かこのismについてのエピソードがあれば教えてください。
– 歩いている時に、自然とズボンが脱げていくので、普段着は必ずベルトが必要なものを着ています。家の中では、ズボンを押さえながら歩いていますね。なので実家にいた頃は母親に対策されてました。
Q. 対策、というと？
– 実家にいた頃は、よく高校のジャージを着ていたんです。でもその服も気が付いたら腰紐は抜けていて。自然と脱げていくんですよね。そんなものを履いている自分を母親はすごい気にしていて。なので、そうした紐が抜けてるズボンは、ゴム紐を仕込まれてました。さらには抜き取らないように固結びも。
Q. 靴紐も抜いてしまったり？
– 靴紐は逆に、絶対に解けないようにしていますね。蝶結びをした後に、輪っかをもう一回結んで、基本そのまま履いたり脱いだりしています。

Hi, guys. Today’s issue of PEOPLISM features Yuya Miyakoshi.
His ISM is “I don’t need waist loop – ISM”. He said “I pull out all the waist loop of jerseys and other garments. Even if they no longer function as clothing, I pull them out.” Let’s hear more about how he arrived at this ISM.
Q. What is the background behind this ISM?
– I don’t remember for sure, since it came naturally to me by the time I realized it, but I think it started when I was in elementary school. The waist loop is a bit of a curious spot, isn’t it? I’m sure you have experienced this, but once the end of one of the strings goes inside, you can’t get it out. So you have no choice but to pull it out. The moment I pulled it out was a pleasant sensation. From that moment on, pulling it out itself became enjoyable.
Q. Any episodes about this ISM?
– When I’m walking, my pants naturally come off, so I always wear everyday clothes that require a belt. In the house, I walk around holding my pants so they don’t fall off. And when I was at home, my mother took measures against me.
Q. Measures, you say?
– Yeah. When I was at home, I used to wear my high school jersey. But when I noticed that outfit too, the waist loop would fall out. They would naturally come off. My mother was very concerned about me wearing such things. So those pants that had the waist loop missing had an elastic string attached to them. And also, a hard knot was tied to prevent them from being pulled out.
Q. Do you pull out your shoelaces as well?
– Shoelaces, on the other hand, I make sure that they never come undone. After tying a bowknot, I tie another knot around the loop and basically put them on and take them off as they are.
Finally, we asked him about his latest favorite song.

A superb pop unit from LA consisting of drummer/producer Louis Cole and vocalist Genevieve Artadi. He said “They are supposed to be on the very core side of the music world, but their sound and melodies are very pop, and the fact that the group is both heavy and light is very appealing.”
