皆さん、こんにちは。今回のPEOPLISMは後藤雄大さんです。
彼のISMは「赤信号は絶対に渡らない主義」とのこと。「裏を返せば青信号で渡ることがすごい気持ちいいんですよね。」と笑いながら彼は言います。
Q.この主義に至った理由や背景はあるんでしょうか。
‐ 最初は登下校指導の時に右見て、左見て、と指導されたことが始まりだと思います。多くの人は小学校高学年くらいになるとちょっと悪いことをしだすけど、ここまで来たらモラルかなと。小学生だったのでモラルという言葉は知りませんでしたが、、
Q.赤信号に関して、何かエピソードはありますか。
‐ 海外や横須賀の米軍ベースに行ったとき、外国人の方たちは車が通ってないと渡るんですよね。もちろん自己責任で。友達も進んでいたんだけど、私は止まってました、その時「日本人だからこそ」と初めて思いました。
それから野球部だったから決まりや規則を守ることに厳しかったのと、変に悪行を積みたくないって気持ちもあったかもしれません。
Q.主義にあたって、何かこだわりはありますか？
– 信号に向かっているときに赤になりそうだと、あえてスピード調節するんです。そしてぴったり青になった瞬間に渡る。もしかしたら青信号にぴったりわたるフェチなだけかもしれません。

His ISM is [Never cross at the red light – ISM]. [It turns out I really feel great to cross at the green.] he says with laugh.
Q. What is reasons or backgrounds nehind this ISM?
– I think it all started when I was instructed to look right and left on my way to and from school. Many people start to do bad things when they reach higher grades of elementary school, but I felt it’s against moral or something. I didn’t know the word [moral] at that point though.
Q. do you have any episodes about this ISM?
– When I went overseas or to the U.S. military base in Yokosuka, foreigners would cross the street if no cars were passing. At their own risk, of course. My friends did too, but I didn’t.
At that time, I thought for the first time, “It’s because I am Japanese.” Also, because I was on the baseball team, we were strict about obeying rules and regulations, and maybe I didn’t want to accumulate bad deeds in a strange way.
Q. Do you have any particular requirements about ISM?
-When I was heading for a traffic light and I knew it was going to turn red, I would adjust my speed on purpose, Then I cross at the exact moment it turns green. Maybe I just have a fetish for crossing at the exact green light.

The monotonous but pleasant piano melody and beat make for a refreshing morning, and the key is that you can cross the traffic light with ease.
